From Real Estate to Weddings: The Story of Dewing Weddings

I founded this professional photography business back in 2011 after having two back surgeries. I always enjoyed photography since I was 18 years old but did not pursue it professionally until I got into shooting real estate for a friend. From there, I grew into shooting events, covering parties, and shooting sports. I went back to school and got a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Leadership from California Lutheran University, and a Lighting Certificate from Moorpark Community College.


Then, a friend of mine kept asking me to get into shooting weddings with him. I thought this would be a great opportunity and a way to not mess up someone's wedding while shooting with my friend. It worked, and I had a blast. From there, I started shooting weddings and sharpening my skills. I found joy in capturing moments that are a pleasure to look at again and again. As time went by, I realized those moments shared are even more valuable, and that's why I love photography so much.
